Watch the Recorded Session (It's Free!):

Discover how rich scientific discourse in the classroom offers students a way to express their ideas, reasoning, and thinking in science. In this 30-minute professional development workshop, we explore peer evaluation and SocraCircle, an online tool designed by KnowAtom to deepen students' participation in Socratic dialogue or scientific discourse. We'll focus on the ways technology like SocraCircle can be used with our other tools to facilitate deeper in-person and remote science discussions.

In this interactive session, we’ll learn:

  • how to utilize technology like SocraCircle in all learning environments
  • how to use peer evaluation resources to strengthen community
  • the formative assessment opportunities available in scientific discourse

Learn how peer evaluation and technology enhancements like SocraCircle can deepen students' participation in Socratic dialogue or scientific discourse.
