General Principles of Copyright Protection

KnowAtom, LLC (the “Company,” “we,” or “us”) respects intellectual property and has made it a priority to ensure all users of the Company’s services respect the copyrights of others.  Every user of the Company’s services is expected to comply with copyright law and to adhere to the Company’s Copyright Policy and guidelines (the “Policy”). It is expected that every user of the Company’s services similarly comply with all applicable copyright laws. 

Reporting Suspected Copyright Infringement

Any suspected copyright infringement should be reported to the Company’s Copyright Officer (who is also the Company’s Digital Millennium Copyright Act officer). If a copyright holder suspects potential infringement, notice of the alleged infringement should be sent to:

Please include in the notice the following information:

  1. An electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf;
  2. The name, address, telephone number, and email address of the copyright owner;
  3. Identification of the copyrighted work that is allegedly being infringed;
  4. Identification of where the infringing material is located on our Website (please include the URL);
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use isn’t authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the applicable law; and,
  6. A statement that:
    1. the information in your notice is accurate; and,
    2. you are authorized to act on behalf of the alleged copyright owner.

 

            NOTE: The statements in Item 6 above must be made under the pains and penalties of perjury.
