The KnowAtom curriculum follows a multi-spiral structure and gradual release of responsibility. Each year, students are exposed to state-standard specific material required, which layers and increases in depth as students transition to later units and grades. In doing so, students receive a comprehensive review of previous scientific concepts as they apply these concepts to new inquiry-based activities, expanding their knowledge.
