Community Partnerships

KnowAtom is uniquely positioned to connect schools with organizations that want to increase community involvement and improve science education. KnowAtom has active volunteer programs in which community members participate in classroom activities, mentor and aid students with troubleshooting experiments or engineering design challenges. Classroom volunteers support teachers in their efforts to deliver high-quality, hands-on instruction and develop critical thinking.

Community partners from a science-related industry have a unique opportunity to connect students with science and engineering careers. All volunteers are fully supported with the background necessary to assist classroom activities and discuss lesson topics. Organizations seeking volunteer opportunities are encouraged to contact KnowAtom for a referral to specific schools seeking classroom volunteers.
